Go Red for Women

I am so honored to serve as your Chairwomen for 2019 on behalf of the American Heart Association’s North Bay Go Red for Women Luncheon. As we join together to fight heart disease and stroke we are reminded that this is the #1 & #5 killer of women today! We are happy to be celebrating the 15th year of the Go Red for Women Luncheon in the North Bay, over the past 15 years we have made many great strides in the education, research and statistics locally.

My passion for this great cause began 22 years ago when my nephew Nathanael was born with a heart defect, his first open heart surgery at 2 weeks old. I wanted to do something so I started as a volunteer for the North Bay Heart Walk. After 3 surgeries I am happy to say he is healthy due to the American Heart Association. Our family has seen so many changes in his treatment over the past 22 years with the advances in science. We will be forever grateful to the Bay Area research hospital we entrusted with his care.

It is my mission now to join together with each and every one of you to fight heart disease and stroke in women. We must increase awareness of heart disease in women and educate families on heart healthy life style so that we can build heathier lives free of cardiovascular disease and stroke.

I believe in the power of women and together we can achieve Anything!

Thank you all for being here today, we appreciate your continued support!
